the Zetas de La Pedriza

One of the big classic tours of the Sierra de Guadarrama

The route divides from the Center Burricleta and drives up to the Center of Environmental Education of The Pedriza, where one leaves the road to take a path that he leads up to the Hill of the Campuzano, where a forest track takes in mint condition. Little by little the way begins to ascend, more serpenteante turns and is hardening up to reaching Valdehalcones's Hill.

A zone more stretched that it passes under the shade of pines drives up to a bifurcation. It is necessary to to turn to the right and take a way asphalted surface (though with numerous socavones) that takes in a dizzy decrease up to the popular parkings of Singing Pig, where many senderistas and climbers leave the vehicle enter The Pedriza.

Our route continues, turns to the left side for a forest track, with north course, to begin the ascent to famous ' Zeds of The Pedriza '. Nevertheless, before the first ramps, Manzanares passes close to The Green Pool, a nice natural puddle formed by the river where well one is worth giving a bath.

The numerous curves or zeds that the track realizes allow to be gaining height little by little. As it is promoted it is possible to be enjoying, between the pines that mark the way, of a few magnificent conference of the Valley of the Manzanares, of The Pedriza and of the summits of The Long Rope.

The kilometric milestones happen, and overcome 14 it finishes the hardest zone of ascent. A section where they alternate flat area, decreases and ascents he drives up to the Hill of The Shepherds, where it is possible to enjoy a wonderful landscape, which allows to observe in the beautiful days even the city of Madrid and his plain. The Pedriza, The Malicious one, The Rope Talks, The Saw of the Wine bottles and Santillana's reservoir they are some of the most significant points.

From here the effort to realizing will be minimal, since the track descends rapidly between the pines to drive again up to the bifurcation that took to the beginning of the route. Taking the same track that in the going (towards the right, to go towards Valdehalcones's hill) falls apart the way to come again up to Manzanares the Royal one and to enjoy a well-deserved rest after this demanding route.
