Circular route that links the municipalities of Granadella and Torrebesses.
Depending on the pace, it can require an entire day.
You can enjoy historical spots, a study centre, open spaces of olive and almond trees, valleys, windmills, stone walls and, most importantly, an ambience of silence and tranquility.
If you end up by buying olive oil and trying out the local dishes you will have had a full day out
The tour takes you into the Vall de les Figueres riding through a cave which served as a refuge for the local population during the civil war when they were fleeing from the attacks from the German Condor Legion.
You find yourself in a landscape of olive trees, almond trees and stone walls though the real travel companion is silence and tranquility. In this valley we go back to a time where the people marked the pace of time and not the contrary as it is today.
A place that invites reflection, Mas de Janet is where the famous guitarist from Granada, Emili Pujol, was inspired to compose some of his most famous creations.
You arrive at the town of Torrebesses where you can visit the interpretation centre of Pedra Seca to continue towards the Vall de les Tapiades valley. Here you can admire the l'Aljub del Ribot, an old dry stone construction which used to store the scarce and expensive rain water that fell in the area.
We also ride by windmills and you can visit les Graveres and la Cova dels 7 ulls (the cave of the 7 eyes). You finish the tour at the local olive oil cooperative.
